About LifeHetu

LifeHetu is a mental healthcare technology company. It builds custom websites, connects the digital workflows a practice uses, and provides practice-management software for mental health professionals and organisations in India. LifeHetu provides technology and development services: it is not the treating psychologist, therapist, counsellor or psychiatrist, it does not diagnose or treat anyone, and clinical decisions belong to the practices that use its technology. LifeHetu separately runs an area of this site where people looking for support can find mental health professionals and book consultations, which is distinct from the technology services described here.

  • Psychologists

  • Counselling centres, psychiatry clinics and mental health clinics

  • Multi-practitioner practices and mental healthcare organisations

Technology for mental health professionals

No. LifeHetu’s website work is service-led: LifeHetu plans, designs, develops and integrates the website for the practice. A practitioner is not handed an editor and left to assemble a site between clients. Once a site is live, authorised users can manage the supported parts of its published content through the website content-management system.

Yes. The website can present online services, in-person services and consulting-room locations, and appointment types can reflect different session formats where that is part of the build. LifeHetu practice-management software handles online and in-person appointments on the same calendar, and a client can be managed whether they booked on the website, were referred, telephoned, walked in, or were added directly by a practitioner or staff member. Not every client has to originate from a LifeHetu website.

No. Practices engage LifeHetu for a custom website, for practice-management software, or for both connected together. A practitioner who mainly needs a credible professional presence may only need a website; a practice already known to its referrers may only need the operational side. What applies depends on the practice.

Custom Websites

Yes. LifeHetu plans the site around the practice, designs it, develops it and configures the integrations that are in scope. Website text content creation and graphics creation are part of LifeHetu’s plans, and blog writing and publishing tools are available on the higher ones. The practice provides and approves the substance — practitioners, qualifications, services, fees where they are published, and locations — because that has to be accurate and is the practice’s own professional responsibility. You do not need software-development knowledge to run the site afterwards, though there is some learning involved in managing your own content.

See how LifeHetu works

It depends on the practice and on the scope agreed for the project — no two builds are the same. Some of the capabilities below are part of the website itself; the ones that let a client book or pay online need Practice Management – Complete connected to it. A LifeHetu website can include:

  • Practitioner profiles, qualifications and areas of practice

  • Service pages describing what the practice offers and in what formats

  • Enquiry and contact routes that reach the practice as records

  • Appointment booking against practitioner availability

  • Payment gateway integration for sessions, care plan packages, events and courses

  • Confirmations and reminders by email and WhatsApp

  • Intake forms and client activities

  • Blog and resource sections

  • Event listings and registrations

  • Content management for the supported parts of the published site

Raise it when you discuss your requirements. What is possible depends on how the existing site is built, what the practice wants to keep and what needs to be rebuilt, so it is looked at case by case rather than answered in advance.

Yes, for the parts of the site that are set up to be managed. The website content-management system covers supported public content such as practitioner profiles, services, locations, published availability information, blogs, resources and events. Structural or design changes are development work rather than content edits, and are handled through LifeHetu.

Appointments, Payments and Integrations

Yes, with Practice Management – Complete connected to the website. Practitioners set their availability, and clients can book a service at a time the practitioner is genuinely free. Confirmations and reminders can be sent by email and WhatsApp, which reduces manual coordination and helps clients keep track of their appointment details. The website on its own carries practice information and enquiry forms; client self-booking comes from the Complete plan.

Yes, with Practice Management – Complete. LifeHetu integrates an appropriate third-party payment gateway, subject to the gateway account, the region and the requirements of the implementation. The practice holds the gateway account and receives the payments. LifeHetu does not charge a percentage commission on payments received through the platform; Razorpay bills its own payment-processing charges separately at its applicable rates, which vary by payment method. A practice can also sell care plan packages — a block of sessions or a structured arrangement paid for together rather than one session at a time — with payments held against the client and what they cover.

The website can list events and workshops and take registrations and payment for them, and it can list courses. Taking payment for a registration online needs Practice Management – Complete connected to the site. LifeHetu does not currently provide a learning-management system: course material delivery, lesson progress and completion tracking are not part of the standard build, so if you need those, raise them when you discuss your requirements.

Yes, where they are in scope. Custom activity forms can be built, assigned to an individual client, and their responses captured against that client’s record in the practice-management software. Activities are written for mental health practice and can be adapted, which is the part a general scheduling tool has no concept of.

Practice Management

It is the operational system a mental health practice runs on day to day. It is sometimes called a CRM because that is the familiar term, but it is organised around clients and sessions rather than sales leads and deal stages: practitioner schedules are not sales calendars, and private notes are a first-class feature rather than an afterthought. It covers:

  • Clients, their contact details and their history with the practice

  • Appointments and practitioner schedules

  • Payments and invoices raised against a client

  • Private notes written and read by the practitioner

  • Forms and activities assigned to clients, and the responses to them

  • Care plans and packages

  • Practitioner profiles, services and allocations

  • Reporting on practice activity

No. A client can be added however they reached the practice — booked on the website, referred by a doctor, a school or another practitioner, telephoned or messaged, walked in at reception, an existing client the practice has been seeing for years, or a record a practitioner creates directly. A practice can use the software without having a LifeHetu website at all.

Yes, on both sides. Multiple practitioner profiles and services can be published on one practice website, with bookings made against the practitioner who will take the appointment. In the practice-management software each practitioner is held separately with their own profile, services, availability and schedule, clients and appointments are allocated to the practitioner taking them, and the practice has a view across all of them. A counselling centre is not treated as one practitioner repeated.

They are two different systems, and LifeHetu keeps them separate. The website content-management system manages what the practice publishes publicly. The practice-management software manages the practice’s operational data, none of which is published:

  • Website CMS: practitioner profiles, services, fees where published, availability information shown publicly, blogs, resources, events and locations

  • Practice management: clients and their records, appointments and schedules, payments and invoices, private practitioner notes, forms and activities and their responses, and practitioner allocations

They can. A booking made on a LifeHetu-built website can become an appointment in the practice-management system, and practitioner profiles can be published from the practice to the website. They remain two distinct products, and a practice can run either one on its own. What is actually connected in a given implementation depends on what was agreed for that practice.

No. LifeHetu does not describe it as an electronic medical record or electronic health record system, and it should not be treated as one. It holds client records, appointments, payments, private practitioner notes, forms and activities for running a mental health practice. It is not a clinical records system, and it does not provide electronic prescribing or hospital information system functionality.

Access to the practice-management side requires authentication, and private notes and client records sit there rather than in anything the practice publishes on its website. Third-party services a practice connects — payment gateways, calendars, messaging and analytics tools — handle data under their own systems and terms. LifeHetu does not claim any compliance certification or encryption standard here, and this FAQ is not a substitute for reviewing your own professional and regulatory obligations.

SEO, Content and Analytics

Yes. SEO foundations are built into the site rather than sold as an outcome. They typically include:

  • Server-rendered content that search engines can crawl

  • A sensible heading hierarchy and page structure

  • Meaningful page titles and descriptions

  • Canonical URLs and a sitemap

  • Internal links between related pages

  • Separate pages for services and practitioners rather than one combined page

  • Responsive layouts and attention to page performance

  • Structured data where it is appropriate to the page

No. SEO foundations help search engines understand a website and give relevant pages an opportunity to appear for appropriate searches. Search performance depends on many factors outside any developer’s control — competition, the age and authority of a site, and how search engines rank results. LifeHetu does not guarantee rankings, traffic, enquiries, client numbers or revenue, and treats anyone who does with suspicion.

LifeHetu practice-management software includes reporting on practice activity — what is happening with clients, appointments and payments in the practice. Website traffic analytics is a different thing: it measures visitors rather than practice operations, and it is not part of the standard website build, so raise it when you discuss your requirements if you need it. Payment reporting from a connected gateway comes from the gateway’s own dashboard.

Hosting, Support and Getting Started

Website hosting is included in LifeHetu’s plans. LifeHetu does not publish an uptime figure or offer an availability guarantee, so this FAQ does not imply one. On domains, a practice can use one it already owns and LifeHetu will configure it to point at the site; if a new domain is needed, LifeHetu provides registration assistance rather than owning or reselling domains. The domain remains the practice’s, and its purchase and renewal costs are separate from LifeHetu’s plans.

What is covered depends on the scope agreed for a project, and new features are scoped separately from maintenance. The published prices cover custom website development as a one-time build and the practice-management subscription; ongoing website maintenance and support arrangements are agreed case by case. LifeHetu does not publish response times or a service-level agreement, so if support expectations matter to your practice, settle them when you discuss your requirements.

Review LifeHetu pricing

LifeHetu charges for two separate things. Custom website development is a one-time charge of ₹17,500 + GST. Practice-management software is a monthly subscription: ₹499 + GST per month for Practice Management – In-Person, or ₹1,150 + GST per month for Practice Management – Complete, which covers in-person, hybrid and online practices. Each plan includes one user, and each additional practitioner or user is ₹250 + GST per month. A practice can take the website, the software, or both.

Get in touch through the contact page and describe your practice — your practitioners, the services you offer, whether you see clients online, in person or both, how people currently reach you, and what you use today. LifeHetu can then work out which of the website, the integrations and the practice-management software are relevant, rather than proposing a package before understanding the practice.
